The youngest boxer to win the WBC, WBA and IBF world heavyweight titles and also the first heavyweight boxer to hold them all simultaneously. These all show young teens that no matter where you come from, you can make it big. Looking at Mike Tyson and his achievements makes kids want to pursue their dreams and it instills confidence in them. Tyson’s fighting style had a certain electricity to it, and that appealed to the younger crowd. It was fast and unpredictable, it was called “Peek-a-boo” style. When young boxers think of someone they want to be like or who their idol is, they say Mike Tyson. His impact in and outside of the boxing world leaves many people inspired by his success. On “November 22, 1986, he became the youngest heavyweight champion in history, with a second round knockout of Trevor Berbick” (Britannica). This is just one of many significant highlights of Mike Tyson's career. This brought light to his amazing talent as a young boxer as he still had potential to develop throughout his career. An achievement like this helped him solidify his status and reputation as “The Baddest Man on The Planet”. Another example of his fast rise to fame and success was “After he defeated Tony Tucker on August 1, 1987, Tyson was unanimously recognized as champion by all three sanctioning organizations (WBC, WBA, and International Boxing Federation, [IBF]).” (Britannica).
