Miles: When I first heard I couldn’t process anything, I just stared into space. It took a moment, but when the news finally processed in my brain, I could only think of three things: It’s all my fault, I don’t feel very good, and I’m going to throw up. After I finally did throw up, I tried to convince myself that it was just one of Alaska’s elaborate pranks, but it wasn’t, she was really dead.
