Character Analysis Miles Morales Spider Man by Jayson Reynolds, is a book about a sixteen year old kid who is naturally smart and always gets good grades. Until about a year prior since he became spiderman. It led to him not doing well in school, and always having to make an excuse to leave class. Which later led to a suspension by a teacher who is not who you think he is.. In this book Ganke, Miles’s best friend is usually who Miles goes to when he needs help or is in trouble. Throughout the book Ganke is always there for Miles whether it be for help leading his double life or making excuses or helping him talk to the girl he likes Ganke is always there for Miles. This can be seen many times but one of the major events is after the halloween party when Miles discovers that there are many Chamberlains and he is rushing to go bust them but Ganke tells him to take a step back and not go even though he was still upset about Miles leaving the party early and not talking to Alicia but he still cares about Miles and tries to help him make the best decision because he cares about Miles. Knowing he can’t change Miles’s mind he makes a compromise telling Miles to sleep on it and if he still wants to do it the next morning then he can. Still put his full effort into his poem and did not give up even though he didn't know what to write about. Another time is when he went to an extra credit shijo writing event that his English teacher threw. Even though he had other things to do he still went and read his poem and when Miles showed up he also helped Miles talk to Alisha, the girl he likes. This shows Ganke’s hardworking trait because of how much effort he puts into
