In our society today, it seems as though the females in the entertainment industry are relying on over exposing themselves in order to sell their music and receive that extra Grammy award. We have all heard the common phrase “sex sells,” but… does it, really? Among all the twerking and profound language we see and hear in today’s music videos, there are a few female pop stars’ that vow to keep it clean in regards of their fans and the type of people they want to draw in and set an example for through the communication styles of their music. More specially, how do female pop star’s, Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift frame their communication to “fit” their organizational culture or cultural scene in our society today.

Her first album titled, Taylor Swift contained five successful singles and sold over 5 million copies in the US while being number 5 on Billboard Top 200. Her subtle transformation hit when the song “We Are Never Getting Back Together” came out on the album Red in 2012. In comparison to Mileys music videos in a sense of the message they are trying to get across, Taylor Swifts is more real life and relatable in a way that all woman and girls from wide ranges of age can relate to. Taylor is a leader in a sense that she asks what and why. She questions why things, more specifically boys, are the way they are, which if you’re in love or just had a bad breakup, is something that every girl can relate to. Taylor Swift will always be her own person, where as a manager is someone who is going to be the standard solider and always following the role given to them like Miley in this
