Growth mindset is when you work on something as best as you can with a lot of effort and you learn from it. In my own words a fixed mindset means to believe in different abilities and qualities that show a fixed trait. In the text, Carol Dweck defines “growth mindset” because he describes how students try extra hard. In the text Dweck Carol claims,“There were many, many more like this, but I think you get the idea. Now, how would they cope? Directly. “ I’d start thinking about studying harder (or studying in a different way for my next test in that class, I’d pay the ticket, and I’d work things out with my best friend the next time we speak.” I’d look at what was wrong on my exam, resolve to do better, pay my parking ticket and call my friend to tell her I was upset the day before.”(pg 54). This leads Othello to drive him crazy and confused and show actions of him treating Desdemona. The mindset of Othello was to hurt Desdemona he wanted to hurt her to make him feel better about himself his goal was not giving up on hurting her he was so devastated he calls her a whore and beats her around physically and mentally. In the scene he kills his own wife a wife that was so much in love with him. In the play Othello says, “Yes, right now. So confess your sin freely now. Even if you swear you’re innocent of every accusation, you won’t change my mind or remove the thought that’s tormenting me. You’re going to die”. ( Act 5,scene 3). This quote show that he’s not going to think Desdemona is telling the truth when she calls herself innocent, so he kills Desdemona not even thinking about what he’s doing or knowing that nothing is true about her and Cassio this shows
