The Quran (document 5) also says that “Whatever you may spend on others, or vow to spend, God knows it; and those who do wrong by withholding charity shall have no one to comfort them.” To receive any attention and reward from God, Muslims must be willing to give to charity. Giving charity to the poor is even one of the five pillars of Islam (the mandatory acts of Islam), so they would not be considered a true Muslim without giving to the poor. Document 6 also depicted traders giving gifts to the Buddha. Though money was important to the traders, they still put pleasing their religious leader and making themselves pure in their religion before keeping it.
KAILI HONG PER.3 THE ISLAMIC EXPANSION The early Islamic empire expanded in a couple of ways. One of the ways was the war. I found this evidence in document A where it says that the Muslims to fight gathered together to fight the Greeks. The Greeks would tie each others foots to each other so none of them would escape during the war.
There have been many Islamic achievements through time. Some of the most important Islamic achievements are having libraries, bookstores and schools. (Doc 2) Some others are art and calligraphy. (Doc. 6)
In chapter seven of Mudhouse Sabbath, Lauren Winner talks about fasting. According to Lauren Winner, “fasting is meant to take you, temporarily, out of the realm of the physical and focus you attention heavenward (Winner, 83).” Basically, fasting is a way for humans to become closer to God. In Judaism and Christianity, fasting is very important. At first it may seems that the ways Jews and Christians fast are very different and even though they are different, they do share some similarities.
The Islamic Empire was huge, large, and untied. The early Islamic empire expanded by fiercely attacking and conquering other lands, as well as uniting them. To start off, In Document A (which is reliable because it happens to be written by Muslim historian Ahmad al-Biladuri in the 800s) it talks about how they killed 70,000 people. Even girls helped in creating a bloodbath which shows how fierce and strong they were on a battlefield and how they easily took more lands.

1A Answer: One example of how the Islamic world contributed to other cultures was how when Islamic merchants entered West Africa, they caused new beliefs and empires to develop. Since Islamic merchants preferred trading with fellow Muslims, West Africans practiced Islam to appease them. Cultural Immersion: Muslim Americans Part 2 Many Muslim families are labelled, judged, and in some cases feared by the American people. Many major cities have mosques, and it is important to acknowledge the presence and value this individuals have in our society. In effort to achieve a better understanding of the faith itself and the lifestyle of those that follow the faith, I visited a worship service and a community event held at one of the mosques in Iowa. In some ways this experience felt very foreign, yet in many ways it felt very comfortable.
Jinns in Islam play a very curial role; they are a major part of the unseen world which includes the angels. Jinns were created before humans and they were also created from a denser material that is smokeless fire, the following verse from The Noble Quran explains that, “And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered back mud.’ “And the Jinn race we had created before, from fire of smokeless flames” (Surah Al-Hijr 15:26-27). This explains that the jinns were before the mankind was created and both of them were created from different material and but for the same purpose i.e. worship of Allah alone, “And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship me alone” (surah Az-Zaariyaat 51:56) Jinns are created just like mankind, the jinns have free will they have the ability to choose to do right or wrong to follow the right path of Islam or to disbelieve.
A. PREAMBLE The terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 has sparked intense curiosity and interest in the world especially the West to learn and investigate the religion of Islam. The Muslim people are portrayed as violent and barbaric, and Islam as oppressive and antithesis to human rights values. Thus, escalation of public opinion about Islam has encouraged debates and forums, and also stirred demonstrations and movements which have compelled the Muslims to speak out their minds and interpret and recast their texts viz. Quran and Sunnah of prophet Mohammad and even question and challenge the prevailing culture and practices, and domineering structures.
