General statements about sports and how they are loved worldwide. One example of this is seen is the movie, Miracle. The second example of this is seen in the novel, Bleachers. Bleachers and Miracle are different in some small ways, but they are more similar than different when compared in the areas of coaching style, team chemistry and passion for the sport.
There are comparisons and contrast in the movie and the book “The Outsiders”. For example in both when Ponyboy and Johnny run away from after killing Bob they go on the train to the abandoned church in both. They are similar because in the story and movie Johnny kills bob then runs away with Pony. They go to Dally where he gave them a pistol and told them to jump on the train and get off at the second stop Windrixville and go to the abandoned church on top of jay mountain. Another example of similarities between both is they still have all the main characters in the greaser gang.

The Outsiders book and movie hold that statement true. Most of the more important events are the same, but a lot of the details do not match up.
In the short story and film there are some differences with plot,theme, and dialogue. In the film, the plot was, the 14 year old Harrison Bergeron escaped from prison. Shortly after he escaped he went to the theater where the ballerinas were performing and tried to blow it up ,but didn’t get the chance to before the police disarmed the bomb. In the short story the plot was still similar to the film
Comparative Analysis The Wednesday Wars, by Gary D. Schmidt, and The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton, both take place in the 1960s. When analyzing the two novels, one can compare and contrast the social inequalities racism, classism, and bullying. These inequities enhance the reader’s understanding of how society is separated. While racism is present in The Wednesday Wars, the subject is not present in The Outsiders.
I prefered the movie's version more because they were older
The first difference that I have immediately noticed is that the story starts out in the middle at Frank’s funeral, but the movie starts out in a field. Another difference in the movie is the absence of Frank's sister, Cathleen and older brother, Steve who we read about in the story. " Next day Steve drove with his wife back to Baltimore where he managed the branch office of a bank, and Cathleen, the middle child, drove with her husband back to Syracuse." (p. 80) Moreover, in both versions the characters have different jobs, for example Matt owns a store in the story.

Dr. Seuss’ poem, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” can be analyzed using many different schools of criticism, however, the psychoanalytical school of criticism holds allows us to truly understand the “true meaning” behind the poem. The poem begins with a socially isolated character, the Grinch, who loathes Christmas and wishes to completely destroy it. He wants to completely eliminate Christmas from “Whoville.” The Grinch gets irritated whenever when he hears the singing from the children and sees families feasting together in the holiday season. However, as the poem progress, the Grinch starts to feel the love and happiness involved with Christmas and ends up correcting his wrongdoings to ultimately enjoy Christmas with the “Whos.”

Writers have taken artistic liberties and have added or taken away to the beloved Christmas story to make it their own. No two versions are going to be exactly similar, and most definitely are going to have many differences. The play and the movie both follow the basic plotline of the classic novel, A Christmas Carol.
George Orwell 's novel 1985, was adapted into a movie, directed by Michael Radford. The movie coincidentally came out in the year 1984 and starred John Hurt. The movie received a 7.2 out of 10 on IMDb, a popular movie rating site,which is a higher rating than most of today 's movies. Although the movie did do alright to the general public, the movie did have some flaws when compared to Orwell 's original writings. The movie did not include all of the same details, it went very quickly over many of the events and was difficult to get into and understand for those who haven 't read the book.
Contrasting and Comparing You may think the play and movie of “A Christmas Carol” are the same. Well you are quite mistaken. In the Play and Movie they are very different from each other. From watching the movie and reading the play the Climax, the Conflict, and the resolution are different from each other.
This is my writing assignment comparing The Outsiders movie and book. My favorite quote was“Stay gold Ponyboy” which means Do not go tuff and stay like yourself because you are once in a lifetime. My opinion of both the movie and the book are pretty good. The book was only a little better because it was longer and it had more parts on the other hand the movie you can hear and see more and feel more when you can actually picture it.
A book and a movie can be both the same and different. In The Outsiders there are many similarities and differences with the book and movie. They were the same because Johnny kills a man, they cut their, there was the movie scene, and Johnny and Ponyboy went to the church. Some of the differences is when Darry slaps Ponyboy but in the movie he pushes him, Johnny doesn't bring a lot of food in the book but does in the movie he does, when Johnny killed the man it was more described but it wasn't in the movie, and Johnny says he wants to kill himself in the movie. In The Outsiders one of the themes is “friendship”
