In the novel Miracles boys when Lafayette sees Charlie at the police station he begins to feels sorry for him because no one believed him and Lafayette knew that Charlie had nothing to do with the car theft. Lafayette also felt relieved that Charlie did not go to prison because if he did Lafayette would have to go to Aunt Cecile’s house.
An example from the text to support my claim is “My brother said he aint- he didn’t steal the car, I said.” This quote proves my claim that Lafayette believes or knows that Charlie did not steal the car because she defended him.
