The Strong Couple We saw that in “The Ring”, Lise and Sigismud have a stronger relationship than Miriam and Sobel from “The First Seven Years”. Lise and Sigismud, have a stronger relationship because they are merried. Plus Lise and Sigismud were together for 10 years before they became a married couple. Miriam and Sobel are not a strong couple because they never have a chance to be together. Miriam and Sobel, the couple from “The First Seven Years”, do not have as strong of a relationship as Lise and Sigismud from the story “The Ring”. I believe that Sigismud and Lise are a much stronger couple because they are married and were together for 10 years. The reason Sigismud and Lise have a much stronger relationship is because they have been married. On page 225 the narrator says “they had been married for a week.” Also on page 225 the narrator says “…. Now twenty-four and nineteen years old, had set up their purpose for ten years….” These quotes tell us how Lise and Sigismud have been married for a week and they been set on their purpose for 10 years. …show more content…

Lise and Sigismud have a stronger relationship because they both are married. They were both set on purpose for ten years. They have passed through hard times and have shown each other that no matter what they will still be together. The stronger couple between Lise and Sigimud from “The Ring” and Sobel and Miriam from “The First Seven Years” is Lise and Sigismud because they both married and live together. Sobel and Miriam did not stand a chance of a relationship because of Feld, who always wanted the best for his daughter without knowing that Sobel and Miriam have a connection between each other that really makes Sobel and Miriam the weaker couple between the two
