In both “Romeo and Juliet” and “Pyramus and This,” miscommunication is an important element in both of the tales. For example in “Romeo and Juliet”, Romeo says “Well, Juliet, I will lie with thee tonight”(5.1.34) and in “Pyramus and Thisbe,” Pyramus says “Now,” he said, “you shall drink my blood too” (1.1.39) These examples show the miscommunication of the two tales.Romeo is going to kill himself because he thinks Juliet has really died and when Pyramus also killed himself when he misunderstood Thisbe’s cloak was covered in blood he believed that Thisbe is dead. There are some differences that can be pointed out in the story such as Juliet drinking a potion that can make her look dead while Thisbe on the other hand, dropping her cloak while
