Mary Surratt was an innocent woman who was accused of helping John Wilkes Booth with the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. She got hanged for it, but the person who actually did do something to help John Wilkes, Dr Mudd, didn’t get hanged, he got life in prison.

Aunt Henrietta Jackson daughter of Fielding W Jackson and Elvira Ellis was born in January of 1878. Henrietta was about 11 or 12 when her father passed away leaving her mother to raise 7 children the 6 boys and Henrietta. She was charged with assisting her mom with the children as well as household chores, also learning how to work in the fields. Education was paramount in the Ellis-Jackson home and like her mother she too began a career as a school teacher at Poplar Hill School.
Carmela Dante DeFrancesco known as Millie Donay was an outstanding Lindy Hopper, she met Cuban Pete at the Palladium Ballroom in 1952, he taught her the Mambo and the clave, to which she added Lindy moves. Cuban Pete and Millie excited the world with their daring original routines, making the Mambo to an international craze. Every Wednesday night, people came to the Palladium Ballroom to watch them dance the Mambo, Rumba, and the Guajira. Millie is most famous for her making of body rolls, especially one where she turned her back to the audience as she tapped her butt. Cuban Pete and Millie parted ways in 1956, but remained friends through the years.

The Possibility of Evil Miss Strangeworth got what she deserved. She hurt the people that she sent the letters to. So the people got revenge but cutting down her precious roses. Miss Strangeworth seems to be a sweet innocent old lady that loves her roses but at night she went incognito to write and deliver hate letters to the people in town telling them different things that are very offending and causes a lot of controversy in the town. Miss Strangeworth family has lived on pleasant street for generation.
Betty White is one of the most influential actresses of television history. Born as Betty Marion White on January 17, 1922 in Illinois, her family moved to Los Angeles, California during the Great Depression. She began her career by reading commercials for the radio in 1939 when she was seventeen years old. Betty White then started acting in television shows and movies. Since then, she has won several awards and continues to act.
Sally Ride is most commonly known for being the first American women to travel to space, though this was an amazing accomplishment she has done so much more. Even Though she died on July 23, 2012 from pancreatic cancer, her legacy and story will live on through those who work with her and the people that look up to her Sally Kristen Ride was born on May 26, 1951, in Encino, California to Joyce and Dale Ride. Dale Ride was a political science professor, he was one of Sally Ride's biggest mentors and though he lacked knowledge in the field he helped Ride cultivate her interest (Saari 1997). She always found science and mathematics interesting and easy, and prospered in these subjects throughout her schooling. Though she started at Swarthmore
People make history and history makes an impact on the world; Ella Baker did just that. Never putting herself at the center of attention, Baker’s main involvements in history include the establishment of Dr. Martin Luther King’s Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) in 1957, working as a director of branches for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and lastly, forming meetings for the people from the Greensboro sit-ins that transformed into the Student Nonviolent Coordination Committee (SNCC). Although unable to face any grave consequences, Bakers mainly impact on history was during the Civil Rights era from 1931-1986. Baker was against segregation at the time when there was racial discrimination of African Americans and minorities.
Both of the main characters in the two passages are judgmental people. Babbitt judges his neighbors on their actions while Maud judges the farmers and civilians in small towns on where they live. The passages express the idea that people are always judgmental no matter what their own situation is. In the second passage, Maud describes her love of New York and all its glamour.

The illustration of how the waves “collect, overbalance, and fall” symbolize the habitual nature to Clarissa’s everyday life and society as a whole. Yet, moments of “overbalance” occur when “the body alone listens” breaking this continuous pattern and allowing for a moment of freedom from the daily pattern in Mrs. Dalloway’s life. In these times, Clarissa listens to herself and breaks away from the waves of life that the super-ego acts to maintain. However, such moments can only be short-lived as the waves collect once more and the constant presence and force of the super-ego force Clarissa to return to her “Mrs. Dalloway” identity.
