I am currently reading the second novel of thebook Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. The peculiars are now in a different island in search for a headmistress. They are searching for a headmistress so that she can help them cure their ymbryne, their headmistress, who was stuck in her bird form and couldn't revert to her human form. The ymbrynes were being captured and were being turned into their bird forms. The peculiars entered the island, and encountered a hollow. A hollow is a monster with the form of a man, with large tentacles coming out of its mouth, and that likes to feed on peculiars but they can only be seen by peculiars like Jacob and his grandfather. “I didn’t want to guess, and throw away our best chance at killing it. The peculiar kids knew that they had a headmistress who has also an ymbryne since all peculiar groups had to have one. The main peculiar animal, a dog named Addison, thanked them for having killed the hollow since it was a threat to them. The peculiars were in a rush to find an ymbryne, hoping that she hadn’t been caught, so they rapidly asked where their ymbryne was at. after the dog told them her name. “‘Where’s Miss Wren now?’ Emma said. ‘We’ve got to speak to her!’ Addison looked up at the house atop the tower and said, ‘That’s her residence, but she isn’t home at the moment. She winged off some days ago to help her ymbryne sisters in London. There’s a war on, you see … I assume you’ve heard all about it? Which explains why you’re traveling in the degraded style of refugees?’” (82). The headmistress of that group of peculiars had gone to help other ymbrynes leaving the peculiars kids to resort to another plan to get their ymbryne back to normal. They will have to travel to another loop and risk their lives in order to find another
