The misunderstanding and disobedience that occurs in the play due to their reluctance to understand each other causes many conflicts and disorientation between the core character of the play. For example, in the end of the play, Friar Lawrence admits his wrongdoing and utters "Miscarried by my fault, let my old life / Be sacrificed, some hour before his time, / Unto the rigor of severest law."
