I think one of the primary things I need to make clear is that I don’t do pink. Also I won’t stand for you borrowing my clothes. Don’t do it. I only own t-shirts anyways.
Second, should I bring my record player? I only have a couple albums, but I want them to be well-loved and won’t bring them out to California if you don’t want a record player in the room. While on that subject, I love music, particularly pop punk. I can agree to use earbuds while you’re in the room, but I am bringing my guitar. Warning, I’m not very good, but I’m working on writing my own music and to quote Mitchell Welling, “there’s no such thing as bad art.” Mitchell Welling is my inspiration and a poet, photographer, and songwriter who releases his music under the name of Flatsound. He also runs a podcast called Sad Soul Advice Club that I frequently fall asleep listening to.
I hope you aren’t offended by a little hair dye. My hair is currently very short and very blue.
I’m not super social, but I like to get out of my room. I love my bicycle so I hope we can make space for it.

Capstone is a two year research based program where students develop skills such as asking open-ended questions, analyzing sources, building and defending arguments, and reflecting on processes. Our school also ran the program with a central theme for the year, survival. I found this ironic at the beginning of the year, because I wasn't sure how I was going to survive. I’d never been the kid who was comfortable asking questions in class, because academic success came naturally.
