Rhetoric Draft Now that I have previously analyzed my given information on the company Nike, I will now further open my knowledge towards Nike by constructing a question for my research. My previous information about the company included, but was not limited to, Nike’s current market cap, what percentage of their revenues are generated by their shoes, what category of appeal the company falls into, and a brief explanation of Nike’s success as a transnational corporation. Following this, I created two research questions that I thought of while reflecting on my speech. While I believe that both of my research questions are valuable questions that have led to great findings about the company Nike and have given me more knowledge that I previously did not have, if I only could choose one to develop, I would select the sustainability practices of Nike. Although the creation of Nike shoes is fascinating, there are limits to how far this question can develop. No matter how far technology advances, or how many shoes are developed, the basic concept is still the same. However, with sustainability practices, the options for improvement are almost endless. Before my research and construction of this essay, I was not aware of how active Nike is in the promotion of sustainability around the world. However, now I am well informed about Nike’s practices to promote sustainability and how much they have given back to those in need. My understanding can further develop about Nike’s sustainability by searching deeper to see what they have done in the past through my online sources. In addition to what was in the past, my understanding can evolve as technology advances. As newer technology is invented, there will be additional ways to improve the environment.
