The internet explains that Martin Luther King Jr was born in Atlanta on January 15, 1929. He was a civil rights activist; his passion was to speak out on racial equality. Martin Luther King was influenced by Gandhi’s non-violent protest. MLK helped promote the Montgomery Bus Boycott, when Rose Parks, a civil rights activist did not want to give up her seat on an all-white bus. After taking this issue to the supreme court the segregation was viewed unconstitutional. MLK was a good public speaker and gave the idea of hope for the growing of equality for blacks and whites. MLK’s ‘I have a Dream Speech’ became famous when addressing that all men are created equal and the hope for equality in the future. King was assassinated on April 4th, 1968
