Today, most people cannot imagine their life without a mobile phone and the Internet. These gadgets were originally created for our convenience, but gradually became an absolute need. Undoubtedly, they have helped people communicate efficiently. However, this attachment towards mobile phones has become so pronounced that it can almost be attributed as dependence. Mobile phone addiction has caused severe physical and psychological problems amongst people at a global level. This essay will discuss how mobile phone dependence affects health and its effects on psychological problems. Finally, physical injuries caused by overusing cellphones will be discussed. Constant staring at the mobile device’s screen could probably result in deterioration of vision. For instance, nearly two hours of viewing a digital screen will lead to discomfort and pain in the eyes; consequently, it can cause a headache (The Vision Council, para.2). Also, no one can deny that a great majority of people believe that they can do some things and use their mobile phones simultaneously while driving a car. This wrong thought can cause significant injuries and expose drivers to dangerous risk. According to the study of the Royal Automobile Club Foundation for Motoring, drivers may present a great risk of accidents when reading or writing messages whilst driving; moreover, they highlighted that texting and driving can be as dangerous as driving and drinking (para.4). From these facts, one may conclude that excessive use of cellphones can cause physical disorders. In conclusion, cellphone addiction has reached everyone, as these gadgets have become an integral part of people’s life. There is no man on Earth who can go to the supermarket and leave the device at home without thinking every five minutes that someone could call or text. If they lose their phones, they start crying as if it were a beloved pet. People should understand that mobile phone dependency can cause many health, psychological, and physical problems. Thus, sometimes, it is useful to put the phone in some secluded place and simply enjoy
