I shan’t not go into too graphic detail of how they got killed. I shall however tell you one of the ways. One of the ways of knowing (it didn’t work no matter what the outcome was) whether or not that they were a witch was by trapping them in some form of water. They would do their best into suffocating you. If you drowned, you would be innocent. If you swam, they would think that you were using your magic when doing this. And if this occurred, they would find another way of killing you afterwards.
The last 4 witches to be known of the “hanging” process were called Susannah Edwards, Mary Trembles, Alice Molland and Temperance Lloyd. You can find out more about them either in Heavitree, Exeter, or by the ruined Exeter Rougemount castle. They were hung in the year 1682.

In my opinions I believe them, that there were no such thing of witches in the first place, that they were early doctors. I believe that magic is a way of hallucinating, manipulating. Some may just do it for inspiration, to show off to others. It could also be one way of hypnotising. Depending on where you’ve been and what you’ve done.
Apart from the continuous stories that mother keeps telling me, I don’t seem to hear much about the witches nowadays. I’ve told my mother how I felt and she reckons that they’ve become quiet because they’re hiding, because they don’t want to be found. They could be doing their best into helping people
