In life we as humans all have different personalities. In Particular we have different opinions on what it means to be modern. Being modern was also known as being classy, known as as the upper class of rich and wealthy people. Also, how different being modern was back then and how we see being modern now. Modern people back then were so much happier than the modern people of today’s world.

Modern people back then were so much happier than a modern person now a days. In the 1920’s as people were striving for the american dream they had fun doing it. Their idea of a modern person in their community was someone who could contribute and be helpful to their community. The people from the book didn’t really have much. You had to be happy and hopeful to grow to be a modern person. They first started with nothing. As they grew as a community they became happier. The modern person during this time was at first worried. Then as they grew they became less stressed about it. They became modern as a group in all. To be modern you had to contribute. They all contributed and all were modern. They were all happy as a community. They didn’t have it all but they had what they needed. They would have meeting within the community. They were happy to expand themselves. Everyone had fun helping to build new buildings and houses. As they grew they would have fun and have dances and hang out and listen to jazz. It was the Jazz era at that time and used the jazz music to keep them happy. They would dance all day and all night. They were in love or trying to find love. Being in love was an amazing way to keep happy at such a time like that. THey were happy with what they had and what they could get. No one complained as a modern person. The modern people were happy making their inventions. They wanted to make the world happier. They didn’t worry about anyone or anything. Life was revolving around their inventions. A scientist loved his job. It was clearly something that they wanted to be doing. It brought joy not only to them but to the people if they would find a cure or create something amazing. Their inventions made the army people happier knowing they could begin to create cures and advancements to help their warfare while in the army. The scientist back then would work freely and happily without any pressure. They weren’t obligated to create cures like they do in today’s world. Today’s scientist have to be working extremely hard trying to find cures that maybe can’t even be cured so they stress out and forget about being a modern scientist being happy with what they wanted to do They did what they wanted and what they could to do help out.
