The book Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline was about a girl named Molly who is a considered a Goth at her school. Molly has black fingernails, wears dark clothes, has black clothes, and listens to dark music as well. Molly is an outcast at her school and does not have many friends, or people that like the same things she likes. Molly is having a tough time adjusting to her peers around her. I would rate this book a 6/10 because the author makes this story boring and it is hard for me to follow the storyline, the author does make good vivid pictures of the characters and I can easily imagine the characters in my head. I liked how the author described the development of Molly and how she adapts to the new world. The author describes Molly as a younger girl turn into a woman. Molly still has a Goth personality; she will probably not outgrow this because that is her personality. Molly has outgrown being a little shy orphan girl, to a now more powerful, less shy orphan girl. Jack uses this to get his point across and talks to Molly like this in the book. “It’s just some ancient pack rat who needs help getting rid of her shit.” (Kline 11). Jack uses this word choice for even the slightest things you don’t need to use this for. An example, in this quote Jack describes something that does
