In this paper, I will write an analysis of composer Franz Schubert’s Moment Musical op. 94 D780. The piece called No. 5 Allegro vivace in F minor. I will write what were my first impressions of the music. What are the elements of the piece? Did I understand what he was trying to convey? Did the piece holistically communicate to me? What are the implication of this piece based on Christian worldview? These questions, I will attempt to answer using the proper terms. First Impressions What are my first impressions? My first thought was that this was a light and cheerful. The rhythm was in a tempo that was upbeat. I could feel every note played. It drew me in to the melody. The tempo was upbeat and lively. The melody was smooth. It started in forte and then moved to piano before a cadence. It came back sforzando that would then crescendo. It then diminuendo to piano before it would crescendo again. Then return to tonic before repeating. It did this all through the piece each time at a presto tempo. It went back and forth from forte to mezzo forte to fortissimo to piano to mezzo piano. This was the dynamics of the piece.
