In order to show the quality of Momo’s personality, we can analyze it from her actions, speeches, and thoughts in the story. The following analysis is given below: a) the character’s action; “When Momo saw how angry with each other they were, she couldn 't decide which one of them to approach first. Rather than offend either of them, she sat down midway between them on the edge of the arena and looked at each in turn, waiting to see what would happen. Lots of things take time, and time was Momo 's only form of wealth.” (Ch. 2) Those sentences are taken from the chapter two. Momo was visited by the two of her friends who had quarreled. So she needs to be careful in order to not take a wrong decision to defeat them. c) the character’s thoughts “She would stop running away, Momo decided. She had done so in the hope of saving herself. All this time she had been preoccupied with herself, her own loneliness and fear, when it was really her friends who were in trouble. If anyone could save them, she could. Remote as the chances of persuading the men in gray to release them might be, she must at least try.” (Ch. 17) From the Momo’s thought above, it can be seen that Momo has solidarity to her friend. She won’t be selfish to stop her struggle against the men in gray to save her friends. Actually, she is the one who is under the danger. Although Momo is still child she care about her friends
