November 1, 1955, South vietnam. We had our first war. People stood there, frightened. Mother’s trying to make their children survive, But it was too late... About 47,000 people been killed. There a little boy stood. I can see tears in his eyes, Trying to hold it, but can’t. People would call him “little boy,” but his actual name was Jacob. He had lost his mother and couldn’t find his father and didn’t know what to do. So I grabbed his hand and ran fast as possible to try to find shelter. However, the boy and I hidden inside of a tree that had a hole, where no one can see us. “Shhh” I whispered “ Stay still.” Many days had pass…. The war had ended.
