Any man is capable of anything he puts his mind to, the power of the mind is stronger than any medicine, steroid, or therapy. It is not said that no man can be trusted, but every man should in fact hold his own life. Putting a healthy life in the hands of another, even a doctor, can put that life at risk. Doctors cut the wrong vein, husbands beat their wives and friends turn into foes. No betrayal is lesser than the other no matter the outcome. Men are selfish and will look for self benefit before risking their lives. Two men in the works of taking their own life, they stand in sync with their knotted ropes around their necks and their stools leveled. Hesitation was washing over him and he reached for the broken shards from the counter from when he slammed the glass down. Pedro knew his chance was expiring, his opportunity to escape second best was slowly slipping from his fingertips. Josue started cutting the rope, he reached for pedro’s first. Pedro leaned against josue’s stool, this was it. This is where the image is taken, a black and white gloomy setting with sad eyes in each of the two. He was stable, he would not commit such acts without a driving force. He never overreacted, he was easily calmed, his mind was easily swayed. After the investigators finalized their search, they came to conclusion that Pedro should be charged with voluntary manslaughter. His need and desire to outdo his friend drove him to commit murder. He saw the potential outcome and took the risk. He saw it fit to tie a rope around his neck, just to try to be the best. No man should ever put his life in the hands of another. As they say, “it’s a dog-eat-dog world, every man for himself.” whether its working toward a promotion or working toward a degree- there is always competition and nobody will ever let another man make them second best. Nobody wants to be second best, men will do what it takes to get out of that position, whether it be murder or minor offenses.
