This book “Lockie Leonard, Human Torpedo” by Tim Winton discusses the issues that teenagers usually go through. The two main themes in the book are love and embarrassment. Looking at both themes the author makes Lockie Leonard represent the actual life of teenagers. The author represents teenagers by placing Lockie as a young adolescent who is experiencing things a normal teen would experience at his age.
In Monster’s Inc. there are many different personality theories that can explore why the monster acted the way they did. One of the main questions from the movie is why the monsters are afraid of the children. Behaviorism can explain this through the character of Mike Wazowski. The beginning of the movie shows that the monsters purpose is to gain scream from the children because this provides power for the monster’s city. The company is called Monster’s Inc. and this is where Mike works.
Meanwhile, Mike and Sully are saving Boo, the company had a problem! The children are becoming less and less afraid of the monsters. Therefore Monsters Inc. is faced with a scarcity of scream energy to use in their plant! Scarcity is when you have a shortage of something for example they had a shortage of energy because the kids werent that afraid.

In this understanding, Tim O'Brien character in the chapters leads to a relationship between of shame and heroism. As the novel, O’Brien’s demonstrates his personal experience of the fear of shame before one of his peers are dead that demonstrates himself that what his experience was a powerful factor in being at war.

When Mike was little he took a field trip down to Monster Incorporated, while watching pro monsters get ready to enter the human world, Mike somehow gets inside of a child 's bedroom with one of the pro scarers. Family trust and secrets are two major themes in the book Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng. Readers are first presented with the fact that Lydia, the favorite child in a family of five, is dead, and they are taken on an crazy, complex journey to find out how and why. Through this journey they detect the growing tension between family members, and how their desire to keep secrets from each other ultimately lead to family discord. Personally, I believe that family members do not need to, but rather are encouraged, to share their feelings with one another.
After reading the Wizard of Oz, I have found quite a lot of themes from the book. Here are the themes I am going to be mainly focusing on: 1) There is no place like home During a tornado in Kansas, Dorothy (the main character) gets transported into a completely different world from Kansas. The minute she arrives to the Land of the Munchkins, she doesn’t decide to socialize with others but on the other hand, she asks how she can get home. Even though the Emerald City and the Munchkin Country was wonderful, kind and marvelous, she was very disappointed when the Wizard of Oz left without her on the air balloon.
