Monsters University In the exciting movie, Monsters University directed by John Scanlon has so many interesting characters, they dream, lead and find their way through failure. At the beginning, even though Mike was little he had a big dream. Ever since he observed the scarers in action at Monsters Inc, he knew that's exactly what he wanted to be. Although his chances of becoming a scarer were slim, Mike was undoubtedly confident and determined. (Frederick J. Goodall, page 1). “How do I become a scarer?” (John Scanlon, x:xx). He had said on his field trip to Monsters Inc. He never gave up being a scarer and stuck with it. Later in the movie, Mike turns out to be a great leader. When the team was discouraged, Mike Set them up by taking them on a field trip, showing them their potential. “The big leagues. Guys! We’re going on a little field trip,” (John Scanlon, x:xx). This adventure not only motivates the team, but also makes them believe in themselves when they're feeling down. (Frederick J. Goodall, page 1). Throughout the movie, they learned it's okay to fail and you can succeed the next time. Not always is talent or hard work aren’t enough to be successful. “Guys, hold on! Hey, hey, hey, wait a second! Don’t listen to him. We just need to keep trying,” (John Scanlon, x:xx). Mike and Sully had to learn this lesson by failing miserably and their teammates learning by becoming scarers after failing the academy. They all didn’t allow their setbacks to keep them down. They got up, shook it off and kept moving forward in pursuit of their big goals. (Frederick J. Goodall, page 1). In the end, this movie taught us
