Montag As A Hero In Fahrenheit 451

I think Montag is a hero for various reasons which I will explain why. Montag plays a great roll in the book Fahrenheit 451. In the world he lives in people are very isolated, unaware, and not thoughtful. In the book his job is being a firefighter but there's a little twist to this. Montag truly is a hero in the book fahrenheit 451 he acted like one by the society and people guide him and how he takes action into things he believes and sees he can change, and make better for the society. In this futuristic time being his job is to burn books and the buildings the books were found in. Books are burned, because they offend the minorities and so they are burned in this book. Planting the books is a good idea and a good plan, because by doing that the firemen will get caught with the books and then lose their power and hierarchy. The reason being to all this is if they lose power they it will be harder to burn the books and destroy buildings, and as much damage it does to the firemen, they were hurting most of the society by burning down the buildings and burning books. A quote from the text in fahrenheit 451 that Montag had said was that “You weren't there he said, you didn’t see it, he said” “there must be something in books, things we can’t imagine, to make a woman stay in a burning house, there must be something there, you don’t stay for nothing.” this quote has a very strong meaning this just shows how important books are to the society. Montag really is a true hero by trying to save books and make his own society a better place and let people realize what the government has been doing. A quote from Montag which really shows his passion in these books and how hard he is trying to put books back into the society. “ Mabe the books can get us half way out of this cave. They may just keep stopping us from making the same damn mistakes.” This is very heroic how he is using these books to help the society. So Montag really is a true hero i’d say wouldn’t you? Montag has truly done the best he could risking his life for his society he lives in. he has truly saved the books from being
