Many events and factors contributed to the Montgomery Bus boycott. Some of which included the racial system Jim Crow Laws, the arrest of Rosa Parks and the final cause non violent protesting. Jim Crow Laws legal segregation from 1877 to the 1960’s. These laws were in place to separate blacks and whites in every aspect of society. Because of these laws, blacks were considered inferior. For example blacks and whites had separate schools, separate toilets, separate hospitals and weren’t allowed to vote for American Goverment. Jim Crow Laws caused the bus boycott because of the segregation and hate blacks were receiving it gave Rosa Parks a reason to not move from her seat on 1st December 1955 and the motivation for the black community to boycott
