Moonport USA was an excellent success at advancing our knowledge and determination to get to space. Cape Canaveral, Florida, would forever hold the future of technology, engineering, and science in our country. The film(s) titled “Florida: Moonport USA” would show and describe the history of the port that would change the state of Florida and our country for many years that followed. The Moonport USA effected Florida in many ways. The growth, economy, and culture of Florida would never be the same. The port effected the growth of Florida by populating the state. As word got around about the Moonport and what they were doing, the more people got interested and wanted to visit it. So, Florida saw a dramatic spike in the population. In the film, it talked about the facilities and laboratories found, the effects the port would have on Florida, and the plans that were made to be achieved by the people working at the port. All of the information would be used to teach people in other parts of the country about Moonport. Sending rockets into space for science wasn’t a normal thing, it was the future back then. Everyone wanted to know all about it! The film(s) could even describe the life found in Florida during that time. Life in Florida was normal yet bizarre and not the same as other places found nearby. Activities found in Cape Canaveral were normal. According the the film it stated that a activities found in Cape Canaveral were swimming, surfing, fishing, and boating. The only things abnormal about this place ,at that time, was that it was the doorway to the future of educations technology, science , and engineering. Life in Florida seemed to stop when the port was experimenting, like everyone was focused on that. This is not to be taken negatively, what the Moonport was doing was very important work. In conclusion, the Moonport USA would have a huge impact not only on Florida, but of the whole country. It brought a new way of seeing things. It would ultimately lead us to the future. It is not everyday that the state you live in sends rockets into space for science! It was definitely a big deal that everyone wanted to know
