Morality Analysis

My belief is that there are no definite good and bad people in this world, but instead we are all in this grey area of being both being good and bad. The unit on human nature at the beginning of the trimester changed how I viewed the world completely. Specifically, when we as a class discussed moral dilemmas, I strongly believed at the time that there were good and bad people in this world and your actions showed what kind of person you were but the more we dug into moral decisions it become clear to me that no one could be the perfect moral human being. I have also found this is how everything we have learned in this unit is connected to each other, for example the Holocaust, people who were involved in the Holocaust did all these horrible things to other people or just stood by and watched because of conformity because some people were too afraid to speak against something everyone else was so supportive of ( I'm not saying everyone was like this there were definitely some people who genuinely supported Hitler). Realizing that there are no good or bad people made me more open-minded not just towards others and what they have done, I also realized that I didn't want to define people in that, associating people with their actions anymore and that it could be hypocritical in a way, like how I explained before we all have gone against our moral judgements. I also now think that there is much more to make up someone than just how they react but also how they choose to communicate towards other people and how they show they value something and what they value. This unit also made me seriously consider how I look at myself and my actions, as I said before I very strongly believed there was such a thing as good and bad people, because of this I had dilemma that I dealt with wondering if I was good or bad person then wondering if I consider people in prison or people who have made very major mistakes to be good or bad and this lead nowhere healthy as I had no answer for this and troubled me for a long
