Many people have argued for decades that Mortal Kombat is too violent for kids, but some people would disagree. Mortal Kombat is a video game franchise made in 1995 by Midway Games in Chicago. Mortal Kombat is known for it bloody gameplay. It is also known for its fatalities that a character can do. Mortal Kombat is not bad for kids because it is fake, it shows different cultures and diversity, and blood and gore can be turned off to make it age appropriate.

The characters also perform real styles of martial arts. For kids to be exposed to different things around the world is a great learning experience. Deadpool Gamer stated “age 14+ Just turn off blood/gore! I could automatically put this as a Not For Kids rating as u can cut people in half and stuff, however, without the blood it is fantastic. I play with blood as I am an adult but when my 11 year old plays it I turn it off.” If the blood is off people won't have to be worried about their kid being exposed to extreme violence. A way to turn of blood is by entering a simple code which is ABACABB. This is good because for kids it is not a hard code to remember. Entering a no blood code will also make the game more fun for the whole family. Having a game for the whole family to play is good because families need to spend time together.
