Who is the most resilient character in the verse novel Unbound? There are many resilient characters in the verse novel Unbound, but I think that there is one character that stands out the most, that character being Grace. By looking at her actions, we can see how she shows growth, strength, and most importantly resilience.
Grace shows the most resilience in this verse novel, because when salt was rubbed on her wound by the antagonist, she didn’t scream or cry, instead she stayed calm even though it was hurting her a lot. According to “Unbound” by Ann E Burg, it says that the missus (The Antagonist) took the salt jar from the table and sprinkled the salt from the jar to Grace’s open wound. But when this happened Grace stayed calm and collected even though it was burning and hurting her. (Burg 110) When salt was rubbed on Grace’s hand by the antagonist, she didn’t scream or cry, but she stayed calm and collected even though it was hurting her alot. …show more content…
