The film I choose is title “ Boyz n the Hood” Directed by John Singleton.
The plot of the movie is about ten-year-old Tre Styles who lives with his single mother in the hoods of Inglewood, California. This African American director this movie based on this story, and this movie end up being one of the top-grossing feature ever made by an African American director.
The Cast of the film are Cuba Gooding, Jr (Tre systles) who is the main character of the movie and the movie is about his life. Tre is very intelligent but yet immature and disrespectful kid. After a call from his teacher in school to his mother, Tre is sent to live in the Crenshaw neighborhood of south central los angles with his father. His mother hopes that he will learn value of life from his father. When he moves to Crenshaw he reunites with his friends Darrin “Doughboy” Baker aka Ice cube, and Doughboy’s half brother Ricky Baker.

In certain neighbors in this country, for example the south side of Chicago, you can see very big similarities in this movie. Such us black on black crime, and we can also talk about the black lives matter movement. As most people would say how come black lives doesn’t matter when other black people kill other black people. In my opinion, to understand this concept you have to look in the big depth of why are they been killed. A black life doesn’t matter when other black people are killed them, because violence of one another can occurred anytime without cause. But when those who suppose to protect people are killing them. In everyday news we see what happens to certain black people, because the fact of their skin, it use to happen before but we notice because of technology and cops are been observed now a
