Moving in as a freshman is great. You are excited, everyone helps you move-in, and it goes by fast. Moving out after freshman year is another story. The move out process is tiring, no one helps you, and it takes forever. The young men who started Campus Crates felt these same feelings for move in and move out to college. Their solution to the problem was creating a moving and storage company that caters to college students. Campus Crates was started by two students both named Ryan after their freshman year of college at Baylor University. These universities will attract students from all over the U.S., and these students need storage space for the summer after their freshman year. Campus Crates can expand to other universities by finding employees or partners locally who are familiar with their certain locations. They can then work with the owner of Campus Crate since he is very experienced in providing such service. So, the new programs will not suffer from lack of experience and also keep some of the original strength of the company. Another way for Campus Crates to expand is to branch out by shipping belongings to campus for freshman at the beginning of the year and also shipping the belongings of the students to their home at the end of the year. Since Campus Crates has partnered with UPS, it can now deliver to students’ home. This expansion allows the company to build relationships even before the students get to the university. Campus Crates’ number of clients has been steadily rising and they have a solid customer base that has used them to store their belongings every year thus far. Campus Crates has a lot ahead for them especially now that they are going to be shipping boxes back to people’s homes rather than just storing people’s stuff. While there are many other storage units that students could use Campus Crates is special because it is a storage unit run by students for students.
