Dear Jury Members: Did you know some of the most common reasons for committing murder are because of jealousy, revenge, fear, and anger? It is, and these were things that were definitely not going through Mr. Bennetts head as he checked the cold, dead body of Mr. Adams for a pulse, and that was all he did. Mr. Bennett should not be found guilty of murder in the first degree because reasonable doubt exists. The prosecution may claim Mr. Bennett is guilty, but they are incorrect because there are multiple other possibilities, like Mr. Alferro’s fingerprints on the cup of coffee that Mr. Adams was drinking the night he died, and the fact that Mr. Adams also had very poor eyesight, and the rat poison that killed him was stored right by the sugar and creamer for coffee in the lounge cabinet. …show more content…

Alferro’s fingerprints were on the cup of coffee that Mr. Adams was drinking the night he died. Rat poison is also the cause of death. Only the exterminators have access to the rat poison, and Mr. Alferro is an exterminator that has used rat poison in the house before. Mr. Alferro also gave Mr. Adams his cup of coffee. Clearly, Mr. Alferro had multiple possibilities of poisoning Mr. Adams’ cup of coffee. Meanwhile Mr. Bennett had no access to the rat poison that killed Mr. Adams, and Mr. Bennett also didn’t have any access to Mr. Adams’ cup of coffee either, meanwhile Mr. Alferro literally gave Mr. Adams the cup of coffee. These facts all together, leave other possibilities for what could have happened on this horrible
