What if you won the lottery and your prize was not money. In this small town of about only three-hundred people winning the lottery is not the way you wanted to seek attention. When the lottery comes around attitude changes for most people especially when you win the lottery. One person’s attitude changed drastically when she wins, while others do not even flinch at the sight of someone else winning the lottery. Mrs. Hutchinson was a very diligent worker. She never minded the lottery she had made this far so far. She had been through many of them and survived. The morning of June 27th was an astounding morning it was clear, sunny, and a warm day. June 27th was the day of the drawing for the lottery. Mrs. Hutchinson was cleaning her dishes on this beautiful summer morning as if it was just any other day. Summers was a very busy man he helped out with about everything in the town. This was because he had no children and his wife was a scold as the other villagers described her. The entire town felt sorry for the man. Since Mr. Summers helps with everything else in the town he decides to help Mr. Grave with making the slips of paper that goes into the black box for the drawing of the lottery.
