Do you believe women can do things just as easily as men can? In the novel, The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle, Charlotte Doyle becomes part of the crew on the ship, the Seahawk. For starters, Charlotte is very brave, she climbed the Royal Yard just to become part of the crew. She is also tough, her knife throwing skills are incredible! Additionally, Charlotte is a hard worker.
“But those with an evil heart, seem to have a talent for destroying anything beautiful which is about to bloom.” This quote relates to the text because Miss Strangeworth has an evil heart without knowing it and she destroyed good peoples feelings and in the end when her roses were destroyed, something beautiful of hers was destroyed. (Roses) The possibility of Evil by Shirley Jackson explains that there is an evil everywhere, we can not stop it at all. Miss Strangeworth’s thought, actions and the setting plus the rising action and exposition demonstrate it.
She acts in a caring manner to everyone’s face, but when she is alone, she becomes a heartless woman, determined to reveal what she knows. Miss Strangeworth is the one causing the distress in her community, yet she acts oblivious as to what is bothering everyone. She shows her extreme deceitfulness by attempting to ease Helen Crane’s concern about her child by saying “Nonsense… some of them develop… more quickly than others” (Jackson, 1941, p. 167). This is deceitful because she is aware that there is something different about the child and instead of voicing that, she consoles the mother, only to subsequently shatter her in an anonymous letter. Additionally, Miss Strangeworth cleverly utilizes the most common paper and envelops all townspeople use for her letters.

Miss Strangeworth, a kind old lady in a small town where everybody knows each other. Living all by herself, known for her attracting roses in front of her house. Turns out she isn’t the lady everybody had in their mind, she was more than just an old lady. She is a bully, hurting other people by sending letters anonymously. Miss Strangeworth hurt other people with her colored paper letter that she sent all around town.

In the passage “The Diary of a Young Girl” by Anne Frank, a story of how a young girl responds to conflict by staying optimistic. In “Dear Miss Breed”, written by Joanne Oppenheim, Japanese children of all ages write letters to Miss Breed that explain the conflicts that the individuals have and how the children overcome and resolve it. Others may say that the most effective way to respond to conflict is to stand up for what a person believes in, however, the best way that people can respond to a conflict is to have a positive outlook because it helps to not focus on the hardships in an individual’s life, alleviates stress, and affects other people 's attitude. If an individual has a vigorous and encouraging outlook on something, it will help not to focus on the ominous events going on in their life.
Roger’s representation of sadism illustrates how quickly societal restrictions can diminish and reveal the presence of evil in human nature through his descent into savagery. Roger first exhibits sadistic behavior while tormenting Henry to pass time. He aims to miss as “there [is] a space round Henry […] into which he dare not throw […] Roger’s arm [is] conditioned by a civilization that [knows] nothing of him” (Golding 62). At first he enjoys simply rattling the boy without any infliction of pain. How is Catherine unique? In the book, Rules by Cynthia Lord, Catherine was the main character who faced many challenges throughout the book. She has a mom who does not really understand her problems. Her dad does not really play a big role in the story. These challenges often include his little brother, David, messing up things.

In the story “ Thank You Ma 'am ” I believe that Mrs Jones is caring because Mrs. Jones brings Roger into her house, and tries to help Roger. The most obvious why Mrs.Jones is caring is because she lets Roger into her house even when he tried to steal her purse, I know I would never just let him in my house if he tried to steal my purse I would of called the police. The notion that she owns the town, trying to perfect it, and being deceptive while doing it are all traits that will get Miss Strangeworth in trouble. There are many misconceptions about the autism spectrum disorder and how it is portrayed in the media such as, people who have this disorder cannot reciprocate emotions and does not feel sad or happy. Another myth is people who have this disorder are intellectually disabled. These are all just myths on how autism is portrayed, for this assignment I have decided to choose Dr. Shaun Murphy on the show, Good Doctor. The Good Doctor is a based on a South Korean Drama that has been renewed for an American television show. It is a new show that was released in September 2017.
