In The Air Tonight
On or about Thursday October 19th, 2017 the accused Ms. Maddy Dryden was arrested at Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, New Brunswick. Ms. Dryden was taken into custody for the murder of her girlfriend Ms. Courtney O’Blenis. Ms. O’Blenis had been admitted into the hospital a week before her major brain surgery to remove stage 4 glioblastomas.

Dr. Nick Mazerolle was the surgeon in charge of Ms. O’Blenis’s surgery. He visited her every day after she was admitted, helping her to prepare for the operation by discussing the procedure and by personally keeping track of her health. O’Blenis’s brain, such as damage to the motor function, memory, personality, and speech centers of the brain. Yet, if Ms. O’Blenis did not undergo the second surgery, her chance of survival would be low, 30% of patients living for 14.6 months with stage four glioblastomas. With this information, the doctors left the couple to deliberate and decide if Ms. O’Blenis would undergo the second surgery.
Upon the return of Mr. Moores, Ms. O’Blenis was presumed dead and Ms. Dryden was found in a chair within the room silently sobbing. The authorities were alerted immediately.
Officer Justin Goguen at 3:47 pm, shortly after the call. In Officer Goguen’s notes, he stated that the medical monitor that was monitoring Ms. O’Blenis was unplugged. He also stated that a syringe, the potential murder weapon, was still in the deceased’s arm at the time of Ms. Dryden’s arrest.
After Ms. Dryden’s arrest, her home was searched. In the search, $50,000 was found along with a balaclava.

Ms. Dryden has retained council and refused to speak to police without her lawyers being present. She has made no statement and admitted nothing to the police. The crown has officially charged Ms. Dryden with 2nd degree murder and robbery with their face obscured. Potential Evidence:
