Arlo is a freshman in highschool and is in love with the game of football. Arlo is hardworking and determined to play highschool football for the varsity team even though his mom quotes head injuries from ´the file´. Arlo is one of the best players on the varsity team and makes all of the monstrous plays and that is enough to convince him that everything is okay.¨All I ever wanted to do was hit people¨ (Lynch 1).
Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand is an astonishing story that starts off with Louie Zamperini, an Olympian who bravely fights in World War II, when his plane crashes into the ocean and miraculously survives with 2 other people. When all hope was lost, they spotted land and paddled towards it. As they went closer, it turned out to be a Japanese ship. They were taken to a POW (Prisoners of War) camp and suffered tremendously by the hand of a man nicknamed “The Bird” and only survived by the grace of God. When the war was over and Louie went home, he suffered Post Traumatic Stress and flashbacks.
He arrives to work and see's Pino, his coworker, and son of Sal, give him a dirty look and said, " you are late". Pino is a racist person who does not like black people and does not get along with Mookie. In contrast, Vito is a nice and respectful individual who is friends with Mookie. It is with these four individuals that Sal's pizzeria had become so well known in New York. Sal is a person who likes to help everyone and is a well-rounded individual.
Station Eleven is a story filled with many different plotlines and backstories, all intricately woven together to paint a fascinating image of life after the Georgia Flu pandemic. The character development is one of the most intriguing parts of the novel, as the reader is surprised again and again with the actions and connections of each figure. Many of the characters enter both as background members in some scenes and as main characters in others, so that their stories flow smoothly with the others. Two characters that this can be applied to are Tyler, Arthur’s son, and Kirsten, a child actor turned into a performer with a travelling groupe after the near-extinction of the human race. Ms Trunchbull wears dark, harsh clothing which are unflattering and old fashioned, and as a viewer it makes me feel scared and anxious about how she dresses as a character. In my opinion she looks like Hitler without the moustache. She appears to be a
Miniver Cheevy, in “Miniver Cheevy,” has a few character traits that show his true personality. The reader sees his traits as being single, of a low social status, a drunk, and being lazy. The author shows many other traits in the short story, but these three are what make his personality. His overall personality as being an underachiever is seen in the character traits.

Character Analysis When thinking of families most of the time its people you grew up with, and the culture you grew around. The story " A Pair of Tickets" () draws on what family and culture do to family 's and more importantly one person. June grows up in America where the culture to her is more familiar than that of her Chinese parents. While growing up she thought countless of times that the ways of her mother where strange and embarrassing, and at time she didn’t think of herself as truly to her heritage. Throughout the story June goes through different stages of grief, and finding herself when she truly thought she wasn’t a part of a culture.
Susan Hill’s Woman in Black is about Arthur Kipps, a lawyer in London, who has been given the task of filing the papers of the dead Mrs. Drablow. While on his journey and at Eel Marsh House he experiences some interesting and eerie happenings. In Chapter 10; “Whistle and I’ll Come to You” Hill uses a variety of literary techniques to create an atmosphere of fear and foreboding. Hill uses sensory imagery to create fear and foreboding.

In the book Unbroken, by Laura Hillenbrand, there are three other adjectives that can be used to describe Louie Zamperini, the main character. These adjectives are determined, compassionate, and defiant. These attributes can be proven through not only Louie’s actions, but his thoughts as well. These are the three different characteristics of Louie.
Take eight troubled teenagers and one instructor and put them in the woods together for nine weeks and there’s bound to be a lot of drama and trouble. “Two Kinds,” by Amy Tan, essentially revolves around the struggle of Jing Mei and her constant conflict with her mother. Throughout her life, she is forced into living a life that is not hers, but rather her mom’s vision of a perfect child; because her mother lost everything, which included her parents and kids, so her only hope was through Jing Mei. Jing Mei’s mom watches TV shows such as the Ed Sullivan Show, which gives her inspiration that her daughter should be like the people and actors. First her mom saw how on the television a three-year-old boy can name all the capitals of the states and foreign countries and would even pronounce it correctly. Leadership Journal Report Assignment Skills Inventory: The skills inventory, which includes technical, human, and conceptual skill, helps me to measure my three leadership competencies of me. It lets me to understand how my skills separate to three leadership skill approaches. According to our textbook, although all of three skills are important to leaders, the importance of each skill varies between different management levels. By scoring it, I got 19 in technical skill, 21 in conceptual skill, and 25 in human skill, which is the highest one.
