Interpretation
I would not like to change the play too much and make it a whole new story. By doing this it is more natural and shows the original it is. But I do have to interpret it into the modern way to make it more interesting. One of the ideas I have is that its set in a high school. Keeping the gossip part to make it realistic and relatable.
One of the examples of my interpretation of Much Ado About Nothing is the most important part of the play, which is when Don Pedro is misleading Benedick into falling in love with Beatrice. Plot:
There are some scenes in the play that are illegal for my interpretation, for examples like the scene where Hero was allegedly cheating on Claudio. My interpretation takes place in a high school which will be illegal to have a sex scene for kids. That's why I’m changing that scene to something more light, for example, Claudio caught Hero hanging out with some other boys or caught kissing other boys. Besides that,I wouldn't what to change anything about the plot as I want to stay as original as possible while putting a modern twist on it.
Conclusion:
By setting my version of Much Ado About Nothing in a High School modern background, this can attract more young viewers on watching Much Ado About Nothing. If you were to release Much ado about nothing at this time, nobody would watch it as it is a Shakespearean work and not many people will enjoy it. If you put a modern twist on a Shakespearean film, you will have a much larger audience than a remake of a Shakespearean film. A few reasons why I’m making a modern adaptation to Much Ado About Nothing. One reason is that with generation evolving filmmakers also have to adapt to the generation and what the generation likes these days and what can grab their interest. The setting of the place will be on a school campus most of the time, it will also take place on some of the characters home like Beatrice, Benedick and
