A surprise aerial attack hit Pearl Harbor, a naval base in Hawaii, on December 7,1941. Conflicts arose when the negotiation between the United States and Japan were not going as planned. The surprise attacks on Pearl Harbor ignited the entrance of the United States into World War II due to the casualties, the devastating aftermath which lead to the planning of retaliation.
