In similarity to the symphonic wind ensemble concert, I had never before attended to a chamber music group concert. Before the concert began, I had noticed a large black piano on the stage as I found this quite interesting as I was curious how it would be played in this type of music. As it was about to begin, a small group of four musicians appeared on the stage and were performing with violins, cello, and a large violin known as the viola. Once the lights were turned on and centered on the performers, the group were welcomed to the stage with applause. Soon after that, their music piece started to play out. For the first piece of music at the concert, the instruments mostly played the same time which made its texture monophonic. At some points, the viola dominated in pitch which made its texture homophonic. For the texture, multiple instruments were being played at different times. Interestingly, it had a nice melody and its pitch was slowly rising from low pitch to high pitch.
Soon after that, the next group of two played a very different piece from the previous pieces due to its implanting of the piano. Most definitely, this texture was homophonic. In similarity to this piece of music, the next group played a similar piece except it repeatedly shifted from low pitch to high pitch and from slow tempo to fast tempo.
