Music is a part of everyone's life but not as much as it should be. Everyone has anxiety, stress and sadness in their lives. Music has helped us since we were first able to recognize a certain beat or tune. Music can have drastic effects on people's moods and can help bring back happiness and nostalgic feelings. Music therapy is a crucial part of everyone's daily lives even if they don't realize it. It is a powerful and non threatening tool for assisting with anxiety and depression with outstanding results for people. At all ages music therapy provides distinctive experiences that can change a person's life emotionally, physically and developmentally. Which is why society should focus more on how music can help to regulate a person's mood and can reduce depression, anxiety and stress.

If all of this anxiety and stress keeps building up through your life it can cause more problems including behavioral and emotional issues in the future that lead to depression. The children with behavioral and emotional issues that receive music therapy have reduced depressive symptoms compared to the people who did not use music therapy. Music therapy had a 100% success rate of eliminating the need for sedation for pediatric patients receiving EEG; 80.7% success rate for pediatric CT scan without sedation; 94.1% success rate for all of the procedures. At an early age there can be many different behavioral issues or anxiety related issues that lead to depression. While doing music therapy those do not need to be diagnosed at an early age. Depressive symptoms have the ability to reoccur based on what happens in one's life and can lead to the inability for that person to function normally.
