Once upon a time, there was a courageous dog named Musket. He was a german shepherd puppy with brown and black fur, and had paws the size of freshly picked apples in Autumn. He had a large, pointy nose and long perky ears. It was the first day of the year 2018, and Musket woke up from a long nap, only to realize that his life took a turn for the worst; Musket’s owner, Lucas, was nowhere to be found. Panic and sadness overwhelmed him and a tear formed that dripped on the tile floor beneath him. At that moment, Musket knew it was his duty to sniff down and find his missing friend. Hours after he began his journey, he stumbled across a wide river. This caused him to lose his sense of direction, and his only hope of finding his long lost …show more content…
He approached a tall man with thick black hair and big blue eyes. The man told Musket to just be aware of any brown bears because there were many sightings around the area. After getting answers from the townsmen, he went back to his traveling. Many moments later, out of nowhere, he was attacked by a swarm of rabid ducks with long, sharp claws. They attempted to lift Musket off the ground, but he squirmed, clawed, and chewed his way out of their grasps. He threw a loud, stern bark in their direction, causing them to flee. His chances of rescuing Lucas were getting slimmer and slimmer. At the last light of dusk, Musket came across a large, dark cave. He stood about 10 feet from the entrance, planted his nose on the bed of dirt, and started towards the thick blackness. 7 feet, 5 feet, 3 feet, then he was suddenly stopped in his tracks by a thick, hairy wall. The sound of a huge roar then bounced off every angle of the stone walls, shattering Musket’s eardrums. He glared up at the gigantic beast, realizing he was face to face with Aiden, a large brown bear. It clawed at him but he took a sharp dodge to his right. It roared once more, then Musket went for a bite to Aiden’s leg. He was stopped by a strong whap of the bear’s paw, and he was thrown …show more content…
Musket then turned around and pounced straight towards Aiden’s face, which was not one of the bear’s strong points. The bear roared in distress, then collapsed. Musket continued to tear at his flesh, leaving him without a face. The bear was then blind, so it was throwing its arms in all directions at full force. His left arm happened to smack Musket right in the jaw, leaving him unconscious. Hearing the nearby quarrel, the crying from the distant teens turned into battle cries, and they grew louder and louder. Still disoriented, the bear thrashed his arms, looking for a victim. In seconds, a group of boys and girls surrounded the bear; some punching and some kicking. In no time, Aiden the bear was killed and the teens were rescued from his horrible misery. Musket’s eyes went from shut completely, to a blurry squint. A small figure then began to shape in the darkness in front of Musket. It was a young boy stumbling towards Musket with his arms ready to embrace a warm hug; it was Lucas [Musket’s owner]. He wrapped his arms around his dog’s neck, and made the cold, moist cave feel like their backyard on a warm summer day. Light entered the cave and filled the premises with joy and
