The word Purdah means curtain or veil. Purdah is a religion and social practice of women seclusion among the Muslim and Hindu, which restricts women’s movements whether they are inside or outside their own home. Most of Muslim female do not think wearing veil deprived their rights, in the contrast, they think this is a way to express their identity. For example, ABC news made an interviewed with a Muslim female who lived in the American southwest. One of the ladies, who are 30 years old, she tells the reason that why she wears veil and does not feel the veil restricted her rights.
