Throughout my high school career, I have accomplished many things. I have received numerous academic awards, been on the honor roll, and I even scored a 26 on the ACT. I never got out of my comfort zone of academics, but during my junior year of high school, I decided to do something different: I auditioned for the school musical, which was Little Shop of Horrors. When I first found out about the musical, I disregarded it, thinking that I would not be able to do what was required for the audition which was singing, acting, and dancing. I was confident about the singing, since I have liked to sing since I little, but I was a little worried about the acting and the dancing, since I had never really done those things before. A few weeks later, I went to the informational meeting. There were so many people, and I still did not think I would get in the musical if I auditioned, but I kept my head up. All of November I practiced singing the prologue of Little Shop of Horrors and memorized the lines I would say for the audition. December finally came, and I was still nervous about the audition, but I still did it. I did not feel all that good about the dancing, but I rocked the singing and somehow I did really well on the acting. Two days later, I got an email that said I was needed for callbacks. I was so excited because I did not think that I would have made it that far in the audition process. For callbacks, I had to sing Suddenly, Seymour, and it was definitely challenging since the song was above my vocal range, and I was not comfortable. When I got out of callbacks, I was feeling a little less confident than I was two days prior, but I still believed that I would get a part in the musical. One day later, I got an email that said I got the part! I was so happy and excited! I tried something new and everything turned out
