After H.A.P.P.Y. was over Maggie and I hung out pretty much the entire summer of my eighth grade year. I remember feeling so blessed to have found someone as quirky and outgoing as I was. Finally my freshman year came about and Maggie and I were still inseparable. As I entered high school the weight from middle school had dropped and I was finally feeling confident with myself.
She greeted us at the door with milk and cookies. Then we started to talk and get to know each other and then I realized that she was going to be my best friend. She started speaking

I was a very outgoing child growing up, but once I reached the age of 14, I became pretty introverted. However, as soon as I walked into the room containing 40 girls my age, I decided that I was not going to be timid. Not here. Something in the atmosphere just felt so comforting, yet eerie. It was as if these girls had been my friends for years, and I knew that they were going to accept me.
One time I came across failure. It all started when playing in a baseball game for Serra High School. Up to that game we had been undefeated in league play. As the game moved along it got more and more intense. Every batter and runner on base you could tell both teams were completely focused on winning that game.
From the outside, many students live consists of all happy moments. Some people hide their stories deep down within themselves to bury the problems they want to hide. In my senior year of high school, I remember seeing this one sophomore girl that was super cute, energetic and playful at my senior barbeque. Her smile was filled with love, but I could see that her eyes told a different story. A few weeks later, I found out that she was in my associate student body (ASB) class and was placed in the same group as me.
In the duration of my middle school years, I maintained excellent grades, except I had just one issue that held me back from a satisfying life. That issue was the fact that friends came very hard to me in my middle school years. Before my struggles at my middle school, Trafton, I had a very productive social life in the Elementary school I attended, Roberts Elementary. Here, it was very easy to make friends and have a great social life, since no hard work was required as a kid. Middle school, however, was a great challenge for me.
Personal Narrative Essay Believe it or not, sometimes a gracious action can bring a huge influence on a person. When I read the introduction that instructor Heller wrote, there is a sentence she wrote: “Sometimes the most influential moments in our lives are smaller moments, events that we may not recognize as influential until years after the experience.” For some reason, I related to it strongly. My story is about my high school experience. Also, I will share some significant moments in my life, and how these smaller moments changed my personality.
Most people will come across a person that they will become very close with and call them their best friend. Zach Martin is my best friend and there are many reason for that. He is a very trust worthy person, he is fun to be around, and he is like a brother to me at this point. Also, if I ever need help with something he will come to help me if he can. Zachary Alan Martin is 5’8” and weighs approximately 170 pounds.
