The Uniform Commercial Code was first written in 1952. It is a (recommendation of laws that can be adopted by the various states uslegal.com). Throughout this movie, one of the partners regrets their decision after realizing he still loves his partner and desperately tries to stop the surgery but fails. Due to the Joel and Clementine failure to reverse the procedure, they fall in love again. As due to their decision to erase their relationship history don’t actually change who they are. In Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi, The Stranger by Albert Camus, and the current college process that I am engulfed in, existentialism proves itself to be true. Existentialism is intimidating until an overarching lesson is learned through the choices and responsibilities, passions (or lack thereof), and the isolation of a person, such as Marjane, Meursault, or myself. On the surface, the three of us are extremely dissimilar, but we all experience relatively negative things that teach us more than we knew before. Marjane Satrapi is a real woman who grew up in Iran, Meursault is a character from North Africa, and I am a real teenage girl from a small seaside town. First, the short story, “Harrison Bergeron”, surprised me for many reasons; one being the fact that every American is fully equal because of Amendments 211, 212, and 213. The surprising part was the moment the law was broken and an American became smarter, uglier, stronger, or faster than anyone else, society would become reckless and in rage. This was surprising because we as individuals living in America right know, can see that we are from achieving this kind of level of equality. The second part of this short story that surprised me was how George, who has left the room to get a beer, returns and asks Hazel, his wife, why she has been crying.
We can make our own decisions that can cause other choices to arise as well as consequences due to how almost every choice has a form of consequence that follows. My definition of knowledge is a true fact or justified belief that is acquired through a persons experience and education. To a great extent, faith does play a role in deciding if knowledge we acquire has purpose and meaning in our lives however, sometimes faith does not play a role. Personal lives refers to our day to day life and how knowledge provides us with meaning and purpose in it. Its how we take shared knowledge and apply it to our individual perceptions and perspectives of our lives. Knowledge provides with the understanding of the world and gives us meaning in life.
