1.) Define your in-group. What is the issue? What is your in-group’s position on this issue? My in-group is the type of group who isn’t afraid to say what they want to say on any matter. If they have an opinion, they will tell you and let you hear their point of view, even when you don’t want to. The issue that I will be talking about, is the Hashtag Political/Social movement. It is both a social and political movement, depending on how you look at it. My in-group and I have the same view. We believe the issue for each movement is bigger than we thought and that it has helped other in many different ways. We believe that the social/political reform has reshaped society in a better way. My group is very diverse. We each have different beliefs, whether it is religion, ethnicity, heritage, or much more. Some people are Christians, atheists, black, Hispanic white, etc…We each view the norm of society very different. Some believe that the norm is what everyone is doing and others believe that the norm is what close friends around them are doing. We even view traditions very differently. Every family is different so what may seem like a normal tradition to other, it is a whole new concept to other who is not if that heritage. It does, however, let me see different sides to this matter. We never stay on one specific topic/reason of a debate, (I guess you could call it), we always show the different angles and views and we see what we can make of it. We see if there is a way we can agree on the opposite view or not. We like to put ourselves in another person shoes and see their view on the matter we are talking about. What contributions has this group made (to other group members, the community, the city, state, country)? They haven’t done much, they like to talk about what they believe and they like to share their opinions. We are still very young, so we haven’t necessarily done much around the community to express our opinionated matters. I feel that if we were older, we would be able to do more things to openly express our opinion, or even support it. Why is this group important to you? This group is important to me because they are different. Many people like too just go with the flow or hide their opinions so that they may seem cool or normal in the eyes of others. That is not my group. They will openly say how they view a matter and they won’t share it, just because it is not viewed as normal or politically correct. They like to say things straight out, but no matter what, no matter their opinions, they will always be there for you when you need it the
