For my interview I picked Tkeya Calderon, she is the general manager at American Eagle. The first question was, what do you like about your job? Her answer was that her favorite part about the job was being able to interact on a personal level with customers. Helping a customer to look and find the clothes that they want is a great experience, you to get to know the on a person level to better help them find the perfect cloths for them. Another thing she like about her job is being able to help with other position and work on different task. One day she can work as cashier and help customers check out, the next day she can help other employees to organized their cloths and make the store look nice. The sixth question was, if you could do it all over, would you choose this career again? She said the she would pick this career again, because her experience and as a retail employees was great. When she first stated her job, she had a great mentor that showed her how everything work, which made thing easier to understand.
The seventh question was, what skills, knowledge, and experience do you look for in new employees? For new employees they want people are who want to learn the experience new things, motivated to get the job done, passionate about the job, flexible and most importantly is being friendly to customers. Because without customer they wouldn’t be in business.
The eighth question was, what reports, and financial tracking are you responsible for completing? She is responsible of keeping track of their annual sales, department sale, keeping track of employee hour and salary, and keeping track of the stores assets.
